continued on from here

After their midnight conversation ended, Harry had put away the paperwork and had actually gone to bed as he'd said he would. More surprisingly, he'd actually gotten up before his alarm, refreshed and ready to start the day. Whether that had more to do with his upcoming lunch with Hermione or not... he wasn't going to say. There was no hiding that he was excited to catch up with his best friend. Not only that, but it would be a nice break from the Aurors for a little bit.

After the war, he hadn't gone straight back into his relationship with Ginny. He felt he owed himself time to truly figure his shit out. This caused some strain on his relationship with the other Weasley's and so it wasn't often he was seen around the Burrow. He hadn't wanted that to come between him and Hermione though and so he didn't bring the subject up. The last thing he wanted was for it to influence or create any sort of friction between her and Ron or the other Weasley's. He valued valued his friendship with Hermione too much for that and knew he hadn't thanked her enough for how she had always stood by him since they were children.

He left his office at ten till and arrived at Hermione's office right on time. He knocked on the door and gave her a smile. "Are you ready for lunch?"
